Robert “Bob” T. Engardio Sr., loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away suddenly on August 27, 2019. He was born July 26, 1947 in Lansing, MI, son to Leonard and Mary (Noice) Engardio. Bob was a former employee of Olofsson and retired from SA Automotive. He was very involved with the Grand Ledge music scene. Bob held a long history with the Mudges Follies as Band Director and cast member. He performed yearly with the Holiday Wishes program and Singers on the Grand. He also was constantly busy with Vintage Sounds, a Duo with longtime friend Chris Muethel. Family band E-4 and No Secret band were others. He seemed to enjoy himself the most with the local favorites “The Grand Ledge Bums” which he was band leader with his dear friends. He was recognized for all of his efforts with: American Cancer Society, GLEAP and Relay for Life. Among any local charities you would find Bob there. He greatly enjoyed sharing his gift of music with others, but his greatest joy was the love of family and spending time with them. He will be greatly missed by all those who love him, including his cats Spike and Alvin.

Bob is survived by his wife of 15 years, Kathy, son Robert T. Jr. (Sandee), daughter Catherine (Jeff) Pierce, stepson Joseph Filipiak, stepdaughter Andrea (Jeremiah) Brand; 11 grandchildren: Samuel, Anthony, Madison, Jordan, Hannah, Jaeda, Jeremiah Jr., Blake, Karis, Sabree, and Natalee; 3 great grandchildren: Aiden, Jaeceon and Kaliyah; brothers Ronald and Randy Engardio; sister Mary Lynn (Scott Detamore) Engardio and Sister in-law Jayne (Dee ) Wakefield. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Raymond and Richard, and nephew John Engardio.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2019 – 11:00 a.m. at Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge, with interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Grand Ledge. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to GLEAP in memory of Robert Engardio.
